Laboratory of SCADA systems in fluid networks and installations
Project title: Laboratory of SCADA systems in fluid networks and installations
Project leader: dr hab. inż. Małgorzata Kwestarz
Lead entity implementing the project at the WUT: WIBHiIŚ
Source of funding: ENERGYEDULAB
The aim of the project is to build modern teaching devices in the retrofitted SCADA Systems Laboratory at the Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering (WIBHiIŚ) and to integrate it with three other laboratories: Controller Laboratory at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Flow Measurement Laboratory at WIBHiIŚ and Fluid Network Simulation Laboratory at WIBHiIŚ. The project consists of four tasks and includes the implementation of the following systems: (i) a measurement system for flow parameters in components of the district heating system in the main WUT campus, (ii) a system for transmission of measurement data from components of the district heating network in the main WUT campus, (iii) a system for visualization of measurement data of the district heating network and its simulation results based on the TelWin SCADA software installed in the SCADA Systems Laboratory, (iv) a measurement and control system for the test stand for flow meters (gas meters and heat meters) in the Flow Measurement Laboratory at WIBHiIŚ. All tasks envisaged in the project are related to the broadly understood problems of fluid systems management in the area of thermal and gas power engineering and will be carried out by employees of the Warsaw University of Technology. An infrastructure will be created for conducting advanced laboratory exercises for students, as well as research projects and all devices will be adapted as much as possible to conduct projects with research components.
