Agnieszka Dąbska DSc PhD Eng (Division of Hydro-Engineering and Hydraulics, Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology), is an engineer of water, environmental and civil engineering specialising in geotechnics. Her scientific activity focuses on the physical and mechanical properties of natural and man-made soils, mainly on the compactibility and permeability, their correlations and practical application in structures. Her main scientific-research area covers the issues of sand deformations due to seepage and soil resistance to failure due to seepage.
On September 19, 2022, Agnieszka Dąbska took part in the 2022 Michuhol Forum & Smart City International Symposium Sustainable Construction & Engineering at the College of Urban Science organised by Incheon National University (INU) (https://www.inu.ac.kr/mbshome/mbs/inuengl/index.html) in Incheon, South Korea. Agnieszka Dąbska presented the results of her scientific work by giving a lecture on “Seepage Failure of Sands”.
The 10th International Conference on Physical Modeling in Geotechnics (ICPMG 2022) (https://icpmg2022.org/), organised by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST), took place in Daejeon, South Korea (https://www.inu.ac.kr/mbshome/mbs/inuengl/index.html) on September 20-23, 2022. Agnieszka Dąbska gave a lecture entitled “Static liquefaction of fine sands in laboratory conditions” on September 21, 2022.
On September 26, 2022, Agnieszka Dąbska participated in the International Exchange & Cooperation Conference at Catholic Kwandong University (CKU) (https://www.cku.ac.kr/sites/cku_eng/index.do), in Gangneung, South Korea. She presented a lecture promoting the Warsaw University of Technology and Faculty of Building Services, Hydro and Environmental Engineering.
On 5-7 October 2022, Agnieszka Dąbska participated in the 5th Central Asian Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (5CACSMGE) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, organised by the Samarkand State of Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute SamDAQI press-service. On October 6, she gave a lecture entitled “A Mechanism of Piping in Fine Sands”.
