Advanced Chemical Wastewater Treatment Methods — Free Online Course
We are pleased to invite you to join the online course Advanced Chemical Wastewater Treatment Methods, designed for students, PhD candidates, and anyone interested in modern chemical approaches to wastewater treatment.
This comprehensive course combines 15 hours of lectures with 30 hours of laboratory sessions, providing both theoretical foundations and practical insights into advanced chemical treatment technologies.
The course is completely free of charge.
There are no participation fees or hidden costs at any stage.
The course will conclude with a final exam, and participants who successfully complete the program will receive an official certificate of completion.
Language and level
The course will be conducted entirely in English.
It is intended for participants who have a basic background in chemistry. Highly specialized prior knowledge in wastewater treatment is not required, as key concepts will be introduced during the course.

The course is primarily addressed to:
- undergraduate and graduate students,
- PhD candidates,
- and all individuals interested in chemical wastewater treatment methods.
Admission requirements
Enrollment is open and there is no limit on the number of participants.
Registration is carried out through the NAWA system, which is the only formal requirement for participation.

As part of the application, candidates are asked to upload documents confirming their academic or professional status (e.g., student or doctoral status). This helps ensure that participants have sufficient background knowledge to fully benefit from the course while keeping the program accessible to a broad audience.
Course format and instructors
The course will be held in May 2025 (04.05.-15.06. 2026) and delivered fully online.
All lectures and laboratory sessions will be recorded and made available to participants, allowing flexible access and the possibility to revisit the material after the course.
The course will be delivered by experts from Warsaw University of Technology — academic staff actively involved in research and teaching on industrial wastewater treatment.
